Groove is in the Heart

”We bring together an international panel of DJs and recording artists who also work as scholars of popular music studies. These speakers will discuss various aspects of their work in dance music cultures such as reggae soundsystem culture in Kingston, pirate radio in London, techno in Detroit, and more. Each of the panelists will also address the challenges and rewards of combining academic work with artistic practices. Come see and hear this unique blend of perspectives!”
